Built c.1896, 2 Watt Street, Rooty Hill.

Single storey Victorian-style brick and sandstone cottage with a hipped corrugated iron roof and bull-nose verandah. The house has a bay window at the front and cast iron decorations. A side conservatory appears to be a more recent addition.

Was originally the residence of Francis Watt & his family. Francis lived in the house from when he was married until a few months before he died in 1963. Francis' wife, Mary Jane (nee Learmonth), was a descendent of William 'Lumpy' Dean, an early convict settler in the area. The hosue was built after Charles McKay subdivided his Rooty Hill estate in the early 1880's.
